Playlist 10-6-2019

It’s October already?

We started the 10th month of 2019 with vists to the Bigs and the Littles… you know, BIG Joe Turner and BIG Mama Thornton along with LITTLE Richard and LITTLE Esther Phillips, etc. But we paused at 8:00 a.m. to remember the wonderful Beverly “Guitar” Watkins who passed on October 1, 2019.

WRFG Route 66 is heard Sunday from 7:00 to 9:00 a.m. Eastern on WRFG 89.3 FM. Atlanta’s independent community radio station is streaming the blues around the world over our free mobile app and WRFG.ORG.

Please like us on Facebook, follow us on MixCloud, and call us during the show at 404-523-8989.

A note about this week’s podcast: Because of technical difficulties, the last 50+ minutes of the show are forever lost. We hope you enjoy the music that wasn’t swallowed up by the digital streaming monster.
